Democrats Launch New Internet Weapon

You have to hand it to political parties when it comes to using the Internet to get their message out. Candidate attack sites are not new, but the Massachusetts Democratic Party’s just launched RomneyFacts.com equipped with a “Citizen Journalist Tool Kit” section loaded with documents for bloggers and others to download public records about the aspiring Republican presidential candidate is a clever twist on an old way of doing business.

Politicians have been among the first to put new media technology to work to sway voters. It’s hard to believe any of this makes a difference at the polls but we can expect a lot more of it down the road. Kudos to the Boston Globe for breaking the news.
